Artist's Description
Anyone who follows my art knows that I am a huge fan of the Belgian surrealist, Rene Magritte. I'm in a Magritte Facebook group and a recent post I saw referenced his death and I posted a painting I had done about 5 years ago called, "Somewhere in Belgium". About Thomas Blood
I consider myself to be a modern day surrealist, heavily influenced by my all-time favorite artist, Rene Magritte. I paint ideas. My goal is to paint the impossible, or at least, the highly improbable. With my paintings, you can always tell what's going on, you just don't necessarily know why. I want my paintings to tell stories that make you think. And if I can bring a smile to your face, that's even better. Enjoy! And please consider buying an item or two - they make excellent conversation starters!
