A woman who consists of a nighttime sky with the moon and stars is emerging triumphant out of the woods. This is a sequel to a painting I did earlier called "Out of the Woods". In that one, the woman was also sky - consisting of clouds and blue sky. Her pose this time is a bit different but the concept is the same. I think of it as woman empowerment, What do you think?
I consider myself to be a modern day surrealist, heavily influenced by my all-time favorite artist, Rene Magritte. I paint ideas. My goal is to paint the impossible, or at least, the highly improbable. With my paintings, you can always tell what's going on, you just don't necessarily know why. I want my paintings to tell stories that make you think. And if I can bring a smile to your face, that's even better. Enjoy!
