Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Thanks for your insights! I always wonder what others think and it's nice to hear back from someone!

Wow! Such tension in this painting and perfectly placed are the people. To really see them one must dive into the painting. I love that Thomas! Says so much about our society in my opinion.

Artist's Description

A range of people, both young and old, are literally walking on air between two massive rock formations rising above the land and sea below. The people are crossing in both directions, seemingly oblivious that they are hundreds of feet above the trees below. This is the first painting I've ever done with a brownish sky. It's also one of the first paintings I've done where the size of the people are dwarfed by the enormity of the setting they're in. Yet your eyes are drawn to the people - an old man with a cane, a man pushing a woman in a wheelchair, a younger man with a backpack. Their look is somewhat cartoony which makes for a surreal setting against the dramatic backdrop.

About Thomas Blood

Thomas Blood

I consider myself to be a modern day surrealist, heavily influenced by my all-time favorite artist, Rene Magritte. I paint ideas. My goal is to paint the impossible, or at least, the highly improbable. With my paintings, you can always tell what's going on, you just don't necessarily know why. I want my paintings to tell stories that make you think. And if I can bring a smile to your face, that's even better. Enjoy! And please consider buying an item or two - they make excellent conversation starters!
