The men with hats are all on a train and day literally turns to night in the process. Their blank faces show monotony. It's as if they're all on a journey with no certain destination. Just repeated over and over. The day begins. The day ends. Nothing changes. This painting used to hang in a music search library at a recording studio. It was in a very appropriate spot as music producers sifted through hundreds of music tracks, oblivious to the world outside. You could spend hours in there and still not be any closer to what you were seeking than the moment you entered.
I consider myself to be a modern day surrealist, heavily influenced by my all-time favorite artist, Rene Magritte. I paint ideas. My goal is to paint the impossible, or at least, the highly improbable. With my paintings, you can always tell what's going on, you just don't necessarily know why. I want my paintings to tell stories that make you think. And if I can bring a smile to your face, that's even better. Enjoy! And please consider buying an item or two - they make excellent conversation starters!
